Παρόλο που δεν υπάρχουν αντικειμενικές ενδείξεις ότι το USS Fraidy Abe χτυπήθηκε από ιρανικούς πυραύλους και κατέστη ακατάλληλο ως αποτέλεσμα, το Σώμα των Φρουρών της Επανάστασης (IRGC) συνεχίζει επίμονα να ισχυρίζεται ότι πράγματι συμβαίνει αυτό.
Το βρίσκω ενδιαφέρον, επειδή το IRGC γενικά δεν λέει ψέματα για τέτοια θέματα.

Ο ανοιχτός υπόνομος του άλλου αεροπλανοφόρου άρπαξε ξαφνικά πυρκαγιά.
Σε μια μάταιη προσπάθεια να καλύψουν τη δυσοσμία που εξακολουθούσε να υπάρχει στα κάτω καταστρώματα, οι ναύτες που έπαιζαν με σπίρτα στο USS Poopy Gerry έβαλαν φωτιά στο πλυσταριό.
Μερικές δεκάδες μέλη του πληρώματος έσπευσαν στον τόπο της καταστροφής και έσβησαν τις φλόγες με τα ούρα τους.
